Terms of Service

1. What the Service does

Cheapchilli shows recipes, ingredient lists and, where available, price or discount information assembled from publicly available third-party sources such as supermarket offer sheets and websites. The Service is provided for general information and inspiration only.

The Service is not a medical, nutritional, dietary, financial or professional service and does not give professional advice of any kind.

2. AI-generated and automated content

Recipes, recipe descriptions, translations, ingredient lists, the matching of ingredients to store products, price totals, savings estimates and tags are generated automatically by software, including artificial-intelligence models. This content is not reviewed by a person before it is shown to you.

Artificial intelligence makes mistakes. Content may be inaccurate, incomplete, unsafe, nonsensical, mistranslated, out of date or matched to the wrong product (for example a product that contains an allergen, is a different quantity, or is not actually on sale). Cooking times, temperatures, quantities and steps may be wrong.

You must use your own judgement and verify all information before relying on it. We make no representation that any recipe is safe, edible, nutritious, suitable for you, or that any product matches a recipe ingredient. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no responsibility or liability for any AI-generated or automated content or for anything you do in reliance on it.

3. Prices, offers and third-party retailers

Prices, discounts, validity dates, product images and availability come from third-party retailers that we do not control and are not affiliated with. They may change at any time, may differ between stores and store formats, and may be collected or interpreted incorrectly. Prices shown in the Service are indicative only; the price at the store or website is the one that applies.

Basket totals and savings are estimates that assume the matched products and quantities are right. They are not a quote, an offer or a guarantee of any price.

We are not a party to any purchase you make elsewhere and are not responsible for third-party content, products, prices, availability or conduct. Retailer names and logos belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the source of offers.

4. Food safety, allergies and health

You are solely responsible for how you use any recipe or information from the Service. Always check ingredients, allergens, expiry dates, storage instructions, cooking temperatures and doneness yourself, and follow the food-safety guidance of your local authorities.

Consult a qualified professional before making dietary changes or if you have allergies, intolerances, medical conditions, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are cooking for children, elderly or vulnerable people.

We are not responsible for allergic reactions, food-borne illness, injury, property damage, financial loss or any other consequence of preparing, buying or consuming food based on the Service.

5. No warranty

The Service and all content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that content for your shop or region will be available at any given time.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cheapchilli, its owner, developers, contributors, licensors and partners shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of profit or savings, personal injury, illness, or any other loss arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service or its content, including AI-generated content, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability for all claims in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in that period, or 20 euro if you paid nothing.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that consumers have under mandatory law, or liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cheapchilli and its owner, developers and partners from any claims, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

8. Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the app or by emailing us; this permanently removes your data from our systems as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service or act unlawfully.

9. Subscriptions and payments

Some features may require a paid subscription. Subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed and managed by Apple or Google under their terms; cancellations, refunds and renewals are handled in your store account settings. Subscriptions purchased by card are processed by Stripe.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancelling stops future renewals but does not refund the current period, except where required by law or store policy. Prices may change; we will inform you before a change applies to you.

10. Acceptable use

You may not copy, scrape, resell or redistribute the Service or its content, reverse engineer it, interfere with its operation, circumvent access controls, or use it for unlawful purposes or to harm others.

11. Intellectual property

The Service, its design, software and original content are owned by Cheapchilli or its licensors. Third-party content, product data, images and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners. You receive a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service on your own devices for personal, non-commercial purposes.

12. Changes and termination

We may change, suspend or discontinue the Service or any part of it at any time without liability. We may update these Terms; the current version is always available on this website and in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. Mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence still apply where relevant. Disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts of Lithuania unless law provides otherwise. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions stay in force.
